Colin Ellis
Colin Ellis, Partner is Scarborough born and bred and gained his experience working many years for Edward Harlard / Cornerstone Estate Agents as an Area Manager before establishing Colin Ellis Property Services in the depths of recession in 1991, slowly building a trusted reputation the business expanded successfully year on year, diversifying into all aspects of residential and commercial sales, lettings, management, surveys and valuations.
Keith Creasey
Keith Creasey, Partner is one of the Chartered Surveyors and joined the business in 1992 after spending the previous 11 years working in Bridlington, Hull and Scarborough. Keith established the Professional Services department and is entrusted by a number of lending institutions, private individuals and solicitors to provide property related valuations and surveys throughout the North East Yorkshire regions.
Nick Fenwick
Nick Fenwick, Partner is Head of Residential Sales and has over 20 years experience in the Scarborough and Ryedale district. He joined the company in 1991 and is a member of the National Association of Estate Agents and with a wealth of experience he has built up a loyal customer base.
Wai Kong Yau
Kong Yau, the youngest member of the partnership, Heads up the Commercial Department and is also a Chartered Surveyor. He joined the firm as a trainee surveyor back in 2002 and qualified in 2005 under the careful guidance of Keith. During that time he worked along side Colin in the commercial department and has now built up his own client base to offer the most comprehensive commercial department in Scarborough.
Karen Gosling
Karen Gosling, Land and New Homes Manager and Negotiator, joined us in 2004 and has a wealth of experience having worked for a number of national and regional residential companies including Barratt Developments and Manning Stainton estate agents. Her professional and friendly approach, combined with a personal interest and attention to detail, inspire confidence and mean that she is appreciated by both buyers and sellers alike.
Carol Barstow
Carol Barstow, our full time Office Administrator, is currently the longest serving member of the team. Settling in Scarborough in 1991 after three years in Hong Kong Carol branched out into the world of computing and worked at Smith Gardener Computer Training for a number of years before joining us in 2001. Her busy role in the office covers all areas of secretarial / administration including drafting particulars, typing survey and valuation reports to maintaining the office computers and web site. She has become a valuable member of the team.
David Simms
David Simms, Residential Sales Valuer joined us in 2007 and was brought up and educated in the town, before moving away and gaining a degree at Lincoln University. He spent the next two years at Stratstone Pickering before moving onto Capital Estate Agents and training as a valuer. His friendly and enthusiastic approach bring an added dimension to his abilities and complement Nick’s experience as one of the valuers.
Faith Young
Faith Young, Secretary is one of the back room members of the team and joined us after previously working for the Evening News. Faith provides the valuable support to the Sales office, creating details and arranging appointments. She has a great willingness to help and also has a second role as a viewing assistant at the weekends.
Maureen Stockhill
Maureen Stockhill, Part time secretary is one of the newest members of the team and puts her wealth of secretarial experience to use having previously worked for Skipton Building Society / Scarborough Building Society for over 30 years before being made redundant. Her role involves preparing survey reports and producing marketing particulars.
Jackie Farrant
Jackie Farrant, Customer Advisor is the latest addition, but don’t be fooled, she has over 25 years experience in the residential market having worked for J Lucas Goodall & Son, Barratt and Persimmon Homes. She is generally the first port of call in Reception and on the telephone, clients can always be sure of a warm welcome. Having the benefit of seeing the majority of properties we have for sale she is in the best position to discuss your property needs.
Margaret Davies
Margaret Davies, Branch Manager for the Malton office was head hunted when we acquired the business of C E Rawlings back in 2008. Margaret had spent the last 20 years working for Reeds Rains and was the branch manager when she left. We are delighted to have her onboard as she has all the qualities and experience that matter when you entrust us to deal with your property.
Tracey Wardell
Tracey Wardell, Senior Negotiator for the Malton office was a member of staff we inherited from acquiring the business of C E Rawlings and has experience in abundance. She is a local Malton girl and commercially aware with the confidence and ability to deal with any property matters, either residential or commercial.
Clive Duckworth
Clive Duckworth, Associate Partner joined the team in 2009 after spending the last 23 years at Reeds Rains, where he was the manager. Clive has brought his considerable experience and enthusiasm to the Company and has put many new services in place. All the rental valuations are carried out by Clive and he is always available to advise landlords on the best solution to their lettings needs and help deal with all problems they may have.
Sue Watts
Sue Watts, Lettings Administrator joined the team in 2006 as a viewings assistant and has since increased her role that includes all the administration for the lettings department including typing the tenancy agreements and property particulars as well as putting them on the website, dealing with enquiries from members of the public and as well as dealing with any problems tenants and landlords may have. She oversees tenants on the day they move in to a new property and makes sure that this will go as smoothly as possible for them in their new home.
Emma Williams - Property Management
Emma previously worked for Campbell & Co and when the two businesses merged in 2004 Emma stayed on undertaking the role of property management for both freehold and leasehold blocks of flats. This is a varied role including administration, site visits with owners, contractors and insurers as well as the day to day maintenance of the communal areas and structure of the buildings. Emma also deals with the accounts and budget forecasts for each block and the legalities of Companies House for Block Management Companies as well as any new legislation concerning flats. Emma is always available for owners to ring or call in with any problems or queries they may have.
